Have people ran a Windows 10 pilot at the schools for staff and students, how much testing has been done? Driver support for Windows 10 looks quite hit and miss atm Personally I'm doing exactly the same process i did with the XP to 7 upgrade. Windows 7 was released in October, i spent about 6-7 months of constant testing and fine tuning to get everything as flawless as possible then deployed it the following summer. Nice thing this time is that they've given me months more testing time I'd say that anyone attempting to deploy it this summer in any capacity is completely barmy. I think the biggest hurdle I'm going to have to overcome is the lack of IE meaning no more activex (is that right?)....there's a couple of things used in school that we have to tell people to use IE for that's not going to work anymore.

We are hoping to roll it out next Summer, with plenty of testing (which has already begun) in the meantime assuming it will provide a big enough reason to do so; our hope is better integration with Office 365.

Right now if you have nvidia I would NOT upgrade, Multimonitor, mutltigpu and SLI are all broken right now. I am hoping things will be cleared up by the end of the week but nvidia have a lot of outstanding bugs to work through and test so I am not holding much hope. My own rig had issues when I tested it before on a clean wipe last week. I have no idea how AMD drivers are as I know noone with one (LOL) but based on previous versions of Windows they have normally been pretty awful. IE is included - now as a Windows Accessory and will continue to be supported until 2018 (extended support 2023). Microsoft's new Spartan browser and IE11 will coexist in Windows 10 | PCWorld 1

You're either very brave, or very stupid. Either way, good luck! I can't bare the thought of supporting multiple OS's throughout our site, the year we went xp to 7 i planned it all out in detail and did the whole site in one go without exception. Everyone with the same OS, same version of office etc. Though i guess it depends on how much you have to support too, is your site quite small?

I'm installing it on these new computers (70) as they are just for business studies (So mostly office) - I figure worst comes to worst I just blow them back to 7 in an evening or refresh them with a new Windows 10 image once I've ironed out everything. It's a risk, but I like being bleeding edge & this is the only way to test it properly in production as a pilot program. The standard teacher desktops, i.e classrooms/offices & other IT suites are staying on Windows 7, to which I've got a new image to roll out with Office 2013 on it (we use 2010 at the moment)

There was a new driver waiting tonight; but not prepared to put W10 on my main macne!

Nvidia drivers right now are a mess as well. There's been a windows 10 driver update from nvidia released today. I downloaded the latest from their site which was 353.30 and by the time id installed Win10 and installed the drivers it instantly said 353.62 were available to install.
