Yeah - I bought a 19" from Aria from hoe for £130 & VAT - and it seems OK too!

when I worked for a web/graphic design company, iiyama (crt) monitors were always considered to be near the top of the league for clarity, rendering colours etc., and that's why you paid a premium (2 to 3 times the price of ordinary monitors). the iiyama tft monitors seem quite cheap in comparison to'run of the mill' stuff. I don't know what they're like for games though.

Hi i have 1 Hp 19" can remember the model at work which is great and looks the dogs and is very good for games, i have tryed farcry, UT2004, Doom3 and great results ( not that i play games at work, just if i can get a lunch break a little stress relief). I also own a very nice 17" samsung syncmaster 710n which i've had for over a year now and its great.

 

So yeh go for HP or Samsung from ebuyer or dabs as they are great monitors

There support sucks, I had a lot of problems with ebuyer getting this computer together, they even sent me a dead motherboard and a dead audigy 4 pro !!

 

Go with Dabs ( do yourself a favour !! )

 

I wish newegg were in england cos they are really good from what ive heard !!

@beeswax: iiyama are great for games- I use one on my Mac and it's a solid piece of kit. Have also used it for gaming on a Windows machine (Halo etc), and no problems there either.

 

I use the 17" iiYama ProLite e431S, and I'm sure it's less than a £150 right now. Other than that, if you have the money a good one to get is straight off the PC Pro A List- a 19" Viewsonic (VX924); it has a 3-4ms response time and is around £280.
