Office 365 Licensing, so confused...

We've been using Office 365 for a number of years now and I was wondering how people license it.

 

We have "Office 365 Education E1 for Faculty" and "Exchange Online (Plan 1) for Students" and "pro plus for students".

 

It seems pro plus for students is going to run out, and now has a cost associated with it. Is that correct? Is there any way to get Office apps online for students for free again?

Ask you reseller to order it from MS for you. They will then give you a code in your MVLS portal that you can redeem through Office 365.

When we renewed OVS-ES etc we just did it as part of that So all falls in line, one renewal etc.

Mine seems to renew itself.... I seem to get all the reminders and a statement of account, put it on my to do list (not critical here as we haven't got beyond testing yet) and then I get a thank you for renewing email before I've remembered to check exactly what the process for renewing is 😁

Can I just check what you guys are saying, Office Apps online is freebie jeebies, as in word in a browser etc, is this the case for the 5 free downloads of office 365 aswell? As ours lists that as ~£1.27 per month per student.

You can get it free but you need to talk to your OVS-ES (EES etc) company who adds it free to your volume account.

We have an OVS-es agreement which will give us the free 365 etc according to the above posts. However I wish to add at least two domains to my tenancy (1 for students 1 staff) I am I allowed to do this with just the one OVS, ie does the OVS apply to the tenancy and all domains therein or does it apply to the domain ?

You can ad as many domains as you like (all they do is act as an alias anyway)as we have both pupil.school.lea.sch.uk & school.lea.sch.uk.
