Viktor_ Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Hi There, Next Thursday we're hoping to run a mock election in school. We want to setup some laptops in booths and get the students to enter one at a time and cast a vote. While keeping a tally somewhere, does anyone know of any software that would be able to do this? Thanks!
network41 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 Never used it myself but would something like SurveyMonkey be ueful
clockend25 Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 We're looking to do something similar here and I think we'll end up using the Promethean voting handsets. That's if they're still working after sitting in cupboards for five years.
Viktor_ Posted April 30, 2015 Author Posted April 30, 2015 I was thinking that, but I wanted some kind of laptop thing. the problem we have is letting one laptop vote several times (as the students swap over)
unixman_again Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 We're running one and to keep it as realistic as possible, we've got a proper polling booth with a proper ballot box and somebody is going to be counting paper ballots by hand.

Sylv3r Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 We are doing this, but just keeping it to paper and marking with a 'X' just like the real thing.
ass17 Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Do it via your VLE if they have a form-based page that will allow multiple submissions like our Firefly does.

Ditto. Four halls, in one door, collect ballot paper from three desks, go and mark it at other desks, then post in ballot boxes near separate exit door.
