SIMS Deployment Service

Does anybody who uses Solus 3 experienced that randomly for no known reason, the deployment service stops...? If so, have you discovered its cause and solution?

What SQL version are you running on? if I remember correctly there was a permission required for 2012/2014 that could crash the service if not set.

Yes, this happens to me but I've been too busy to think about it - I just restart the service.

 

We are using SQL 2012

look at the properties of the service and make it restart if it fails. I think it is on the Recovery tab

SQL Server 2012 on Server 2012. I have just put the 'Restart Service' setting to active though as neilenormal mentioned.

Hey Trenton,

 

You may also have to look at permissions on the Solus 3 Service\Database using SQL Management Studio as this can cause issues also. I had this when I installed Solus 3 on Server 2012. The permissions need to be created for the user logged in.
