I have connected to another school, I have tried it in the office and all I get is the following "the system was unable to verify a connection to the internet. Certain Optional SIMS .net features may be unavailable". I have applied the activation patch 7186 at a school but didn't make a difference. It seems there is an underlying issue, unless I am wrong.

I too had a gut feeling that we would see this again, also. Summer is going to be fun again if we have to apply patches again and the Capita Helpdesk is not going to be able to cope again. I dont have access to MyAccount either at the minute, but have they said anything about SIMS Pay?

Yeah Sorry, I should have said that Capita have advised me not to Upgrade any schools to the 7.172 release until the Autumn Census and Workforce Census 2016 has been authorised by the DfE. Thanks

All, I have been advised by Capita, not to upgrade any schools to the Autumn Release 2016 7.172 until the schools have had both their School Census and School Workforce Census authorised by the DfE. I wanted to know if you all are going to wait until all your schools have had both Authorised or are you going to release it? Thanks

Hey Trenton, You may also have to look at permissions on the Solus 3 Service\Database using SQL Management Studio as this can cause issues also. I had this when I installed Solus 3 on Server 2012. The permissions need to be created for the user logged in.

@PhilNeal, Should we still hold off Migrating Schools to 2014? If MS are still looking into the issue?

@PhilNeal, is it worth while putting something on my account to advise Local Authority's to put off Migrating to SQL2014. Speaking with a few other LAs some have migrated and are having these speed issues.

Also has this been tested on the Full Version of SQL 2014 or is it the express version?

All, Has the issue with speed been resolved? Can someone confirm this? The reason I ask is that I have scheduled a few migrations during the Easter Break and I dont want to go a head with them if there are still issues.

Why I have backed it up with 2008 and restored it with 2012 it says that the database is in use. Result Sorted it. But after restoring do you still have to manually change the DB Settings under Targets | Servers?
