Onedrive deployment

I wonder if creating a shortcut to "Map Skydrive" on their desktops would work?

 

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Are you absolutely sure that URL is correct, error 67 normally means the URL your trying to map to is wrong, I can emulate it by miss-spelling ours.

Its correct yeh, copy and pasted from the onedrive URL.

 

Maybe its a problem because its onedrive for business.

@maniac nice work, I started stripping out the same bits from the code the other week, saves some work

 

Out of interest with SSO does the drive stay active all the time? Was wondering about this as the original complaint with any of the mapping scripts was that the authentication times out and won't come back until the script runs again at next logon. In theory SSO might behave slightly differently but without running it live not sure either way.

Just tried this out of interest this morning and keep getting Trusted Site errors, despite having all the recommended domain wildcards added in the correct Site-to-zone assignment list

 

btw: @zag with the issues above showing error code 67 make sure the Web Client service is running on the machine you're trying it from

 

Edit: just looked at the source code of the OneDrive page and there's an additional domain in there not mentioned on the MS documentation (Step 2 on http://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2507767 )

 

although it is listed on https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh373144.aspx under the SharePoint section...

 

Add https://*.sharepointonline.com and it should at least get the website into Trusted Sites, haven't got any further than that yet

I've found a program someone wrote called Cookie365.exe which does similar work to what the script that is stated in this thread. I'm doing a proof of concept at the moment where I am using the program to run after/during logon (there is a GPO) for this.

 

Office365 and surroundings

 

The program takes various parameters and works as command line so you can use to map sharepoint library and also of course the onedrive as well.

 

The usual rule of certain urls needing in trusted sites still applies as this makes it possible for it to map the drive silently. I just created a batch file with various parameters and it does indeed map the drive. The program is optimised for ADFS setups but can work without adfs.

Do you have the adfs deployed?

 

the batch file we use is as follows:

 

@echo off

set var=https://-my.sharepoint.com/personal/

set var2=_/Documents

"%programfiles%\Ashby School\cookie365.exe" -s %var%%username%%var2% -quiet -mount z:

exit

 

 

the var1 is the first part of the path and var2 is the last part of the path i.e. if your domain is mydomain.co.uk the it will be _mydomain_co_uk. I think they convert the dot to underscore.

 

You need to make sure that certain urls are in trusted sites and also your URL for ADFS server in the local intranet zone.
