It sometimes struggles playing DOTA, which, by virtue of being Source, is mostly CPU intensive. So I'm not bothering with EVE on it. This card was abuuuusssseeeeed before I inherited it.

 

As long as you don't get in any massive engagements it wont be an issue. Turn off brackets in your overview, zoom your camera out and you are basically playing spreadsheets online.

There's a lot of modifications you need to make to the standard overview if you're thinking about going into battle.. I haven't looked into it yet.

Its easy now, you can import settings. most people just use sarashawa's overview settings SaraShawa Overview Pack v7 - Rhea Edition : Eve

Did my first bit of PVE content since resubbing last night, downed a incursion mother-ship and it was quite fun and a quick and easy 90mil in the wallet.

 

We had a 70 man Tengu/Logi fleet which was a lot more engaging that high-sec mission running. Plus its strategic for them to be cleared so helping out the alliance at the same time I hear the empire ones are more profitable due to being able to use bling fit ships with relative impunity.

popped a Raven that was trying to roll a hole that lead into my alliances C4... no one even came to help him ;( haha

 

-Edit - was my first "real" pvp kill (usually mined or PVE'd before) Though it was 4 on 1... XD

Looks like brave is beating a retreat again. I think they should stick to low sec for now where they have some protection.

 

Very much looking forward to Fozziesov, The rumor mill is saying that our space might get hit so plenty of content for us.

Still overdue. I'm keeping my eye on other sources (Overclockers, Amazon, etc) to see if anywhere else gets them but it's a no-go as of yet.

My corp is a member of The Bastion, we are a Imperium alliance who live in vale with a few other allies.

 

Pretty heavy on the EU timezone, although a lot of the guys will stay up quite late as well.

 

One of the nice things about the imperium is we have special intrest groups, so if you still want to do the whole wormhole thing we have a dedicated group of people who mess around with that.

I know our guys have regular meet ups in Nottingham if that swings it for anyone, i will be on tonight and in the edugeek channel and if you don't see me you could always join the "ZC pub" channel in game and talk to some of our guys there.

Pass, i have never used steam with eve, surely you just renew the sub with CCP and you can log in?

Figured it out, there are options for an auto-renewing subscription on Steam's EVE page.

 

Edit: 2 weeks of skills queued up, and I do get 60fps if I nerf everything. No way that'll stand in the middle of a fleet, though..

You going to play at all in those two weeks? could be good to get used to it all again and do some missions in high sec or something.

 

Finally transfered my 3rd character to it's own account, now i can play three accounts simultaneously. now to buy a third monitor.... xD

Also joined a null sec pvp corp on a character, so looking forward to going down there again.

Moved to a new wormhole on my other two characters as well, didn't get off to a great start though as i got insta popped while hauling 100 mil worth of POS equipment... damn Svipuls.

Yeah.. it happens took me lots of money, 2 contracted merc corps and a bunch of haulers to secure my own C2.

 

(What a waste that was, since I took it all down in the end and moved back to known space lol)

Haha wow, it's worth it in the long run for me as with my two characters and my freinds two characters we can do almost everything in wormholes... we're in a C4 atm, with a static C4 and C3. Soloing the C3 sites can bag you about 70mil/site which is really good. Then we usually spider tank the C4 sites, and they can land us up to about 150 mil per site (including salvage) also using drones means we don't use any ammo! (unless you know the sleepers get angry and web your ogre's into the floor) xD

 

Edit - all this is good untill you open up the wrong connection and a WH corp bashes your POS into dust* hah

"Fire a few shots at the station to show him we mean business!" my contact says. So I do. Nothing. Drop shields, nothing. Drop armour. Still nothing. Blow up station. Still no d00d.

Yeah I used mine for everything really, had quite a nice PI set up too. The problem was that we had a static high and it was taking too much time/effort to look after it and keep the entire hole clear! It was a nice experience though, I only started it because I'd never tried WH stuff before

lol you sure you're attacking the right structure? not sure how many structures are there, but i've done it a few times... xD one of the missions asked me to blow something up, and i got really confused to where it was. turns out it was a "secret base" inside an asteroid that took me about an hour to figure out lol.

Fairly certain, but I'll take a gander again tonight before gym. See what I can find The structure had all the rats orbiting it, so I reckon it was the right one, but yeah.
