Finally transfered my 3rd character to it's own account, now i can play three accounts simultaneously. now to buy a third monitor.... xD Also joined a null sec pvp corp on a character, so looking forward to going down there again. Moved to a new wormhole on my other two characters as well, didn't get off to a great start though as i got insta popped while hauling 100 mil worth of POS equipment... damn Svipuls. You moved your stuff up yet? Most of the alliance doctrine is available fully fitted on contract pretty cheap. I'll keep an eye out for you in fleets!

I got all of my stuff moved to Jita by a hauler today which was done while i was at work (still at work :l) , Tonight i'm gonna go to jita buy up whatever I need then head down to null. The corp i joined hauls the stuff down from Jita for us at a price, so gonna do that lol Edited July 8, 2015 by Domo

Garacesh Posted August 13, 2015 Author Posted August 13, 2015 New graphics card fitted.. Game on! Now I just need to get myself into a corp and upgrade my ship. Working through SoE and I'm stuck on a mission where it's me vs 3 rats with laser cannons who absolutely crucify my shields.. They're taking off chunks of my armour before they're even in range of my cannons, and I end up having to warp out before I can blast a single one of them.

My corp is recruiting, we moved alliance recently and are focused on PVP, If you have low SP, want to get into nullsec and want to learn then karma fleet would be a great fit for you.

LiamH Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 You shield tanking it? To stack resists just means to use that kind of shield hardener at the expense of other ones that the npc's wont use. Fine for PVE but not so good for PVP. Destroyers are usually glass cannons, moving into a cruiser will give you more tank.

But I had to take a mid-tier fitting out because I need a relic analyser for the mission. Cruiser, or Battlecruiser? I'm thinking Stabber for Cruiser, or a Hurricane if I take a Battlecruiser, looking at their bonus-per-level buffs and stuff. LiamH Posted August 13, 2015 Posted August 13, 2015 I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to mini ships but the rupture might be better for missions, The stabber is a bit more or a kite ship. Cruiser would be the next logical step, keep in mind that you will be using mid sized guns on a cruiser so they will need training up too.

Edit: A rupture costs about a third of what I have in my wallet. Plus the Cruiser skill and new guns/ammo, this is gonna be costly. Using 200mm autocannons at the moment. Tested it against a few rats in an asteroid belt (not exactly a fair comparison, I know..) and it worked fine.. Only trouble I had was getting within the 6k limit to get the Nosferatu running. Thinking I may just insure it and take it out, see what happens.

I'd knock off about an 8th of his armour and he'd repair it right back. On the plus side, I was moving too fast he couldn't touch me.. So basically, stalemate. Edit: Went back in my Rupture. Still can't kill him the Armour Pumps make me too slow and I can throw his shield off before he ends up 10k+ away from me and I can't catch up. Edited August 16, 2015 by Garacesh

I'm sure with PVE becoming strategic for the alliance now you can buddy up with someone to make some isk, or just ask to be a space hoover. As far as i know Karmafleet will just throw rifters at you for free and tell you to have fun. @LiamHaith should be able to tell you more about them. For the mission you are stuck on, artillery might be your best bet, short range guns were never great for PVE and situational for PVP, they do more damage than the longer range guns but its always a trade off with getting into the engagement range and staying there.
