Symbiosis Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Hi I have an issue in that my IOS devices show as offline (icon grayed out beside them in the client list) and yet I can send notifications? They have appeared as online but then seemed to have dropped off with no apparent reason Any suggestions please? Edited February 11, 2015 by Symbiosis
localzuk Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 First question - do you have all the necessary ports open on your firewall? This is the current list - https://n35.meraki.com/Systems-Manager/n/ZXY3AaJ/manage/support/firewall_configuration
fairm010 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 I found that and cant work our why. We have 47 iPads, they were all sitting happily in Meraki showing as online. Now they don't but I can still interact with them. 1
Symbiosis Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Hi Localzuk - cant seem to get that link to open but if its the same as the list on the help/firewall page then yes (or at leas tour local grid have told us they have)
Symbiosis Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Additional info: Windows and android devices seem to show up as online as do IOS devices when away from our network
localzuk Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 Hi Localzuk - cant seem to get that link to open but if its the same as the list on the help/firewall page then yes (or at leas tour local grid have told us they have) You should be able to get to that link if you're logged in to the Meraki MDM system... But here is the data copied over: Firewall information This list is intended to help guide you in creating firewall rules for the Cisco Meraki cloud. fairm010 Posted February 11, 2015 Posted February 11, 2015 100% all these rules have been created on our firewall and we still have this issue.
Symbiosis Posted February 11, 2015 Author Posted February 11, 2015 Thanks - and yes, that's the exact same list we have handed to South West Grid (so should all be open according to them)
Symbiosis Posted February 13, 2015 Author Posted February 13, 2015 Any other thoughts on this anyone? Fairm010 - do you still have this issue and are you behind a grid firewall?
fairm010 Posted February 13, 2015 Posted February 13, 2015 We still have this issue but we are behind our own, internally managed firewall.
Symbiosis Posted February 13, 2015 Author Posted February 13, 2015 Does anyone know if there any web filtering rules that need to be applied (we have Bloxx here)
grant_girdwood Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Does anyone know if there any web filtering rules that need to be applied (we have Bloxx here) Hy Symbiosis, there is a solutions document on the Bloxx Service Portal, you'll need a login to view it - https://service.bloxx.com/support/solutions/articles/3000017550 - if you continue to have issues give the support guys a call and they'll be able to investigate further for you. Cheers, Grant 1
fairm010 Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Symbiosis, if you find a solution please do post your findings and hopefully I can get this resolved too.
TechSupp Posted February 20, 2015 Posted February 20, 2015 Yes, thought it was just me! Would be interested in the solution as well, our LA use Blox as our filter as well.
Symbiosis Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 Will have a look and let you know guys
