Edu-IT Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Connectivity / VOIP are a focus, other than that, probably touchscreens and the like.
witch Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 You're evil. Mwwwhahahahahahahahha (you love me really - I know you do - which is why I have organised everyone into a "let's hug X-13" queue. You can't escape)
X-13 Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Mwwwhahahahahahahahha (you love me really - I know you do - which is why I have organised everyone into a "let's hug X-13" queue. You can't escape) I suddenly feel as if I'm about to come down with a major illness... looks like I'm missing BETT. ~unconvincing cough~
southhamster Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 Looking to harangue a couple of suppliers who shall remain nameless. Cool handouts, pens, desk calendars, projectors, LED touch screens and anything else interesting. Might even fight my way through the massed ranks of fellow geeks and attempt to find nirvarna - the edugeek stand.... Actually that could be a pretty nifty computer game pacman style. BETT 2015, attempt to collect as many eduhobnobs as possible while avoiding the snake oil salespeople. Lose 10 points if you see a government minister.... 2
EduTech Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 all these people that want hugs this year! it's a shame that unfortunately i won't be able to make it... always seems to be the way! any other time everyone is so against it and does not want to show any love.. and then the time they do i can't be there!... (sulks!) saying that, maybe that's telling me something and none of you miserable people want hugs from me :-) James.
witch Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I've never refused a hug from you, @EduTech - and I shall be sorry not to see you
vikpaw Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 T'internet. Free coffee. Free food. Somewhere to sit and play OoT Master Quest. Friends? All 5 available on stand E250 = panacea Touchscreens, Tablets.. and hugs Must we take a ticket and stand in line..? Ummm... no hugs from me on the Edugeek stand!!!! That was never mentioned!!! Hugs are mandated - sorry. if i see @X-13 he needs to tell me all the tricks of dark souls... If you see @X-13 - the usual protocol is to point, stare, and say "ahh...that's X-13" @EduTech - I'm sure you said you could go. What if i have an O365 problem that needs escalating ....? I'm interested in an affordable 3D printer. I want to make things
witch Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Must we take a ticket and stand in line..? You? Stand in line? Nope - you'll be at the front If you see @X-13 - the usual protocol is to point, stare, and say "ahh...that's X-13"...and then rush up and give him a BIG HUG 1
mdrabble Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Not been for the last 3 years so I'm looking forward to going….. Need to replace some ageing tech on both the infrastructure side and classrooms side of things. Products to make my life easier managing the network. Speak to reps about about products we already use and see what they have to offer. Training providers - looking to update my skill set with things like SCCM etc…. And more than anything to catch up with friends.
Redwinegirl Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 I want to look at a new MIS system :-) something that is suitable for a large school and is easy to manage :-)
Edu-IT Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 Saw this in the BETT mag. Looks quite interesting. ParentHub – Make your school the hub of the community | Make your school the hub of the community I know it does a lot of what other systems already do, but... it just read to be quite appealing.
vikpaw Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 I want to look at a new MIS system :-) something that is suitable for a large school and is easy to manage :-) Come and speak to me on the EG stand about your requirements. It's a big playing field now, with lots of options.
elsiegee40 Posted January 13, 2015 Author Posted January 13, 2015 Come and speak to me on the EG stand about your requirements. It's a big playing field now, with lots of options. @Redwinegirl I would take him up on this. He's not a salesman, I promise, and he does know his stuff.
nyiss Posted January 13, 2015 Posted January 13, 2015 ..it isn't me, it's @nyiss Haha! Flattery will get you everywhere but there is a reason I get hidden in the dark IT cupboard everyday I am under strict instructions from the Head to look for "really cool things". Hopefully get a look at some decent touch screens since we have a minimal amount here at the moment. In need of a whole bunch of laptops aswell but other than that, catch up with our suppliers and just see what looks good.
