Tallwood_6 Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 The list should be reversed those getting a MBE or CBE seem to mostly be normal people doing extraordinary things outside of work and those getting knighthoods or better look to be extremely privileged individuals getting high praise for doing there jobs wells.

Garacesh Posted January 1, 2015 Posted January 1, 2015 Maybe it's just me, but wouldn't it make more sense to call it the honour list 2014? We've only just started 2015.. They received said honours for things that happened in 2014 (plus earlier, I guess).. It just defies logical naming conventions.

It is because they do not receive the award untill easter/summmer 2015. THe whole thing is rather odd, the people on the list know about it for a month or so at least before it is published. But they are not allowed to tell anyone.

And then once it is published, they don't actually get it for another few months? Bizarre!

rich_tech Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I think this system needs to be redone and made completely cross party, some questionable appointments again, no different to previous governments, this system needs to be scrutinised a lot better now, same for other things like NHS too I believe.
