wintech1 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I'm trying to get Solus to update itself from 3.6 to 3.8.53.0 but keep getting the message "cannot be deployed as the version of Solus 3 Database is less than the required version of 3.5.20.0" I get the same message if I try to update it to 3.7. I'm guessing Solus can't access the database but not sure what permission(s) I need to change? Has any one seen this before?
ITGURU Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hi I find SOLUS 3 unreliable especially with workstations which are off at the time of update deployment. Therefore, we still use SOLUS 2 where the SIMS workstation can update when the user wants to run SIMS rather than scheduling in the background and the client not updating before they need to use it, in which case they end up with 'incompatible database' before it has updated using SOLUS 3.

The newer 3.8 version does now allow the user to initiate the update manually if it was missed on the first deployment. Big improvement. Pete
ITGURU Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 Thanks for that!! I'll have to have another look at implementing - Another reason why you should always wait until they've ironed out problems and improved software! Especially when it's Capita lol The newer 3.8 version does now allow the user to initiate the update manually if it was missed on the first deployment. Big improvement. Pete
Atomic_Zombie Posted December 31, 2014 Posted December 31, 2014 We had the same issue, had to have Capita dial in and change a value in the SOLUS DB.
