foofighterjim Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Nothing particularly wrong with the site on the face of it but links to most popular articles also hosted by the domain are not suitable: Bible - Catholic Online (links from this page are NSFW and are very disturbing) Those of you with active filtering may not have an issue but everything is being shown on my BGFL filtering, I have opened a call with Link about it. 2
sonofsanta Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Cheers. Just seeing the headlines is upsetting enough. Blocking now. When are we all going to sit down and agree that religion isn't working out and we'd be better off without it, then? I can't see any purpose to keeping it around any longer. It's like taking a childhood teddy to your wedding night at this point; we should've left it on the shelf long ago and it's time to grow up and face reality without the comfort blanket of childish things. That way we can all stop fighting in the playground about who teddy loves best. Sorry, just... very upsetting. Having kids really does rewire your brain. 3
hallb15 Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 Thanks @foofighterjim Surfprotect wasn't blocking it, but it is now on my default banned list.
foofighterjim Posted December 9, 2014 Author Posted December 9, 2014 So this is finally blocked here and I think they are blocking it for all BGFL schools but can't confirm.

3s-gtech Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 (edited) It's like a news feed from the Daily Mail. Blocked now, thanks. Edited December 9, 2014 by 3s-gtech
Sylv3r Posted December 9, 2014 Posted December 9, 2014 I think all Catholic Schools should have received the following e-mail today: It has been brought to our attention that a Catholic online website (Bible - Catholic Online) which is used as a resource by some schools, contains links to graphic videos in its ‘popular news’ items. The materials are unsuitable and we would strongly advise are not accessed. We would suggest alerting those as necessary in the school community and preventing access to the site from the school. timbo343 Posted December 10, 2014 Posted December 10, 2014 (edited) Wow! they are fairly graphic, especially the ones that say WARNING on them.. I didn't think they would be that bad. Photos aren't displayed through the smoothie, thank god but will be blocking the site. Edited December 10, 2014 by timbo343
GRitchie Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 Not blocked here - Schools Broadband/Lightspeed! Now blocked. Thanks!
