Joanne Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I feel sick just thinking about it.... although I felt sick before thinking about it too
Poults Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Heinz chilli beans are fine but the original flavour, bbq, cheesy and whatever else they have invented i cant stand.
Garacesh Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 No, no, no. These are my own modifications to regular ol' beans. Not buying ready-made stuff BSc hons in Culinary Excellence right here.
rich_tech Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Literally everyone in my family loves baked beans, even my 18 month old doesn't mind them when he's tried them, my father will eat them with pretty much anything, but I just cannot abide them, the thought of it repulses me.
Dos_Box Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 You are all wrong. It's tomatoes. Grilled\fried tomatoes are just wrong on all levels. I'll take the rest though
gmj Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Not a fan of grilled or fried tomatoes....but bring on tinned plum tomatoes! A good ladle full on a breakfast....yummy . Man...getting somewhat hungry now.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww blech. BEAN JUICE!! I thought I was the only baked bean hater ! not alone \0/ Great minds. Horrible Horrible Beans!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 replace it all with Guinness and ill give it a go after all it is a food group of its own That'd be approximately 51.5 pints of Guinness. Think you can do that in one sitting?

I'll take the rest though Whilst I appreciate everybody has a right to their own opinion, you're so wrong it's unbelievable It's an opinion. Opinions are subjective and thus not subject to being 'correct' or 'incorrect'. But you're wrong.
featured_spectre Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 That'd be approximately 51.5 pints of Guinness. Think you can do that in one sitting? So basically its a light morning then?
6Foot2 Posted September 30, 2014 Author Posted September 30, 2014 That'd be approximately 51.5 pints of Guinness. Think you can do that in one sitting? In my college days I was unwise enough to spend an evening where my total intake was 21 pints over a period of about 4 to 41/2 hours. That wasn't all Guinness: It was a mixture of bitter, cider, lager, some Guinness early on in the session and some shorts for good measure. Needless to say I was quite ill for some time after. Students!
Pyroman Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 I've just found my favourite ever Edugeek thread. I HATE baked beans and i thought everyone else in the world thought they were amazing. I love you guys! I can't even stand washing the bowl up after the mrs has had some, the sauce is all slimy and disgusting and the texture of beans is hideous. 2

My sisters used to hide beans with the juice cleaned off inside chips when i was little. I'd always be eating happily unil i came across one when I'd pull a face and spit the intact bean out. No fooling baby me!
Tesla Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 maybe you guys should create a group.... i used to hate beans as a sprog dont mind them now, not that i'd say i'm a fan of them...
gmj Posted September 30, 2014 Posted September 30, 2014 Not happened for a while, but always kinda dread ordering a fry up in a café. “Can I have the full English please, but without beans. Really don’t like them. Everything else….just no beans”. Breakfast comes with beans….have to send it back. Reappears and its clear that they have just been scraped off…..because of the BEAN JUICE still on my plate. Send back again. Actually get my full English without Beans. Can’t enjoy meal now as fear chef has most likely done something unpleasant to/with my sausage and bacon. 1

synaesthesia Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Actually surprised about the lack of black pudding hate! Good stuff. Only thing I don't like out of that lot is mushrooms (eww). I'd give it a damn good go, but doubt i'd get further than 1/4 of it!
6Foot2 Posted October 1, 2014 Author Posted October 1, 2014 I had a late breakfast at home last night for an evening meal. Naughty but what a treat! Mushrooms, black pudding, eggs, sausages, bacon and beans. Brown sauce for preference.
plexer Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 I'm not a huge fan of beans but do like some with jacket potato. Black pudding nom nom nom Ben

And i know i'll get shot for this but Red Sauce > Brown Sauce
Joanne Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 we call 'brunch' brinner, because where I'm from, it's breakfast, dinner, tea. Also BBQ Sauce > 'Red' Sauce (Tomato Ketchup) 1
Andrew_C Posted October 1, 2014 Posted October 1, 2014 Reggi Reggi FTW! He deserves the accolades he got for this sauce.

Also BBQ Sauce > 'Red' Sauce (Tomato Ketchup) I've never thought of that properly, but actually, it's breakfast dinner and tea where i am too. I had a southerner as a mum though so i think the dinner = 5pm meal rather that dinner=12pm meal rubbed off on me.
