jslate1980 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Hi the Main hall electric projection screen is starting to come away at the seam. I created a few quotes for a replacement which unfortunately was turned down by the schools governing body. My question is does anyone know of any companies that do repairs? Before anyone one asks, I have no information about the manufacturer of the screen as it was purchased over 8 years ago and the company that installed it went into liquidation two years ago.
Andrew_C Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 I'd start with Harkness Hall. Their contact page seems to be broken though! 1
Zourous Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 We had the same thing happen last year. The motor went on it and it started to judder up and down of it's own accord, then shortly after the whole screen peeled off and fell on the floor whilst I was standing there. One of our caretakers took the motor out and managed to get a replacement by contacting the manufacturer and he also took the loose screen and all the rest of it to a local blind company who glued it back on straight for us. All this done for a fraction of what it would cost for a replacement. 1
jslate1980 Posted September 11, 2014 Author Posted September 11, 2014 Its around 4 meters wide, don't know the height.
Educare_AV Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 They do start to become a little pricey at that size. If it had been 3m wide replacement screens start from around £300ish.
MatthewL Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 Your welcome to PM me some contact details and I'll pass them on to our AV section who are based up your way and they might be able to help.
