Parcelforce tried to deliver a parcel to me last week while I was at work. As I've no idea when they'd come back I arranged for it to be delivered to a local post office, just 200 yards down the road.

Next day I got a card saying it had been left at a post office - one several miles away.

Rang them, got transferred to their Liverpool depot, didn't get a single apology. Woman at their Liverpool depot said that it was "more convenient" for the delivery man to leave it at the post office of his choice, despite driving past my preferred one to put the notification card through my door.

As soon as I asked for her name so I could make a written complaint she hung up and then wouldn't answer the phone.

Today, DPD delivered my tablet that I ordered on Black Friday. Awesome.

Delivery instructions were to leave it in the blue bin. Swish.

Email received, done and done.

Royal Mail were also attempting to deliver something today. They had the same instructions.

Email received. Go get it from the depot.

WUUT.

I believe as far as memory serves me the dpd one is all that matters (to me anyway)

Yes, the DPD one is that one :p

So, woo, I have my tablet now. I was also able to go the post office and pick up both packages (I already had one waiting for me, and the other had already made its way back to the depot), so that was nice.

To be fair to Yodel again I've had a couple of things delivered from ebuyer from them and our chap is brilliant, will wait around until we're home as he know we're not in until 4! Very polite and lovely bloke too! I think it's ver dependent on who your local man or gal is!

Royal mail get on my nerves everytime I go to the depot I tell them to put it in the bin but everytime I get home I get the card! Also hermes... Shudders!

Bought Wifey a present from Amazon.fr and successfully tracked it's arrival into the country, all the way to Nottingham Depot upon which Parcel Farce decided to 'lose' said item.

Lose.

Really? I was able to track the item perfectly (albeit in French) from it's departure on the continent, it's journey through customs all the way to Nottingham Depot for Parcel Farce to 'lose' it.

Thankfully, Amazon's customer support (even the one in French!) was very helpful and simply sent a replacement out on their 'fastest delivery option' (which is DHL judging by the "we'll deliver x date" text I have)
