nicholab Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Do any edugeekers work in operation trojan horse schools?
Disaster Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Nope but my missus's headteacher has just taken over one of the main schools being investigated, but the current head is refusing to leave! There's been press outside her school too. Mental! Apparently one of SLT of said school locked the head from my missus's school and another member of staff who were visiting in a classroom and refused to let them view the school.
DevilsAdvocate Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 It's an alleged plot by extremists to take over Birmingham schools.
X-13 Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 It's an alleged plot by extremists to take over Birmingham schools. I thought it got exposed as being fake...
abillybob Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Oh yes I've heard about this! It really makes me angry, these are state schools and certain people from the Muslim faith think it's ok to keep the school 100% muslim faith and not allow other children to go there. I watched the news yesterday and the Govenors and Headteacher (both muslim) refused the County Council entrance and literally stood in front of the front door and said they weren't allowed in! It's a state school for god sake, not to mention the school is £900,000 over their allowed spending budget.... hmm wonder what that money is being used for!

Not quite right, it is a Muslim faith school. I can see why they would object to having a governing body with nobody of that faith in charge. There are ways o go about things and if the press are to be believed the council have hardly covered themselves in glory in the handling of this.
Popular Post Dos_Box Posted June 3, 2014 Popular Post Posted June 3, 2014 Guy's I'm going to close this thread as there is an ongoing investigation being conducted into this. As in the past where we have closed threads about other serious matters, it is not something that should be discussed until the investigation is complete and the results made public. I hope you can understand the reasons without our having to spell them out. Chris 8
