aworkc Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Hi Everybody, I've been researching payment systems for our school and I just wanted to see what peoples oipinions were.... I've had demo's from a few and it all looks good, but I would like to see what peoples experiences are first hand.
kinster Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 I've used ParentPay. Just a simple system to use. It did pee me off at one stage when you couldn't save your card payment details. But this has now been added. 1
sparkeh Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 (edited) We use @Schoolcomms School to Home Communication | Online Parent Payments System and have been impressed with it. Parents seem to get on well with it and the support is good if there is an issue. Edited May 12, 2014 by sparkeh 1
sonofsanta Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We've been running on WisePay for a couple of years now and they've been superb - always helpful, stable, easy to use, integrated with Serco and Nationwide really well, and our Finance team love them. Well worth a look. 1
aworkc Posted May 12, 2014 Author Posted May 12, 2014 I hadn't looked at Schoolcomms as I thought they were more for texting, so thats interesting to know
Edu-IT Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We use Tucasi and have done for a good few years. Home | Tucasi 1

Edu-IT Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Let me know if you have any specific questions about the product. Happy to help. I know it's not one that is commonly talked about.

Thanks very much Edu-IT. I think the main concern is the support. Obviously this isn't something that you can find out about until you're live. We've never used any systems like this so I think that the support is going to be vital. The pricing we've had from all of the companies is much of a muchness and the systems all seem to be relatively similar..... How has the support been for you guys?
Edu-IT Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Never had any problems getting support when it's needed. I like the fact that it's not entirely web based. Means we can still use software if the internet is on a go slow, or whatever. Support is provided by phone or email and rarely have to wait long when calling or for an email reply.
rad Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 Parentpay here. It works, we have had the occasional issue over 4 years, but only enough to count on one hand.
Sylv3r Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We use sQuid here - it hasn't been mentioned on this thread but if you do a search on the forums then it has been mentioned previously. We've used in for 2+ years with no issues and it integrates with our CRB cashless catering system.
wardsidjame Posted May 12, 2014 Posted May 12, 2014 We use parentpay and it is used ontop of cunninghams cashless and for paying for trips etc, never had an issue since the install, letters were very easy to setup and they manage most of it, can reccomend them
aworkc Posted May 13, 2014 Author Posted May 13, 2014 Thank you everybody for your replies and information, it's been really helpful and I think we have made a decision Thank you again Edugeeks!
mthomas08 Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 Parent Pay here, other then a few issues regarding importing data which ruined our usage of it for a few weeks last year its rarely been down.
