Tesla Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 (edited) Hi have any of you taken out any forms of insurance against your iPads, if so who do you use? Thanks Edited May 8, 2014 by Tesla
Sibrows Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Compucover, purchased through the reseller of our iPads. We've only taken insurance not extended warranty...
mdench Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 Ours is covered by our insurance through our LEA i think at least it was county branded claim form I had to fill out to replace a staffs cracked iPad screen
TLARWise Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 We looked in to it but decided not to bother in the end. If you want another alternative try Burnett & Associates, when we were looking they were cheaper than CompuCover (although I didn't look that closely at the policies so there may be some differences).
Marshall_IT Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 We used to insure our staff ones through our main insurance but an excess of £100 was pointless. We looked at insuring or 1to1 student iPads but found it to be cheaper just to get them repaired as needed. We have put Griffin survivor cases on them at around £25 each. This is our insurance against most breakages. I've also heard some horror stories of 1to1 iPad scheme insurances stopping paying out as there are too many breakages.
Sylv3r Posted May 8, 2014 Posted May 8, 2014 We insure our Parent contribution schemes but not the iPads owned by the school.
