Apple configurator Update ios 7.1.1

Anyone have problems downloading ths ios 7.1.1 upadate in apple configurator.

 

I am trying to prep some ipads via configurator but it keeps failing on the ios 7.1.1 update and as these are supervised devices I cannot turn the auto update off in configurator/

 

Any help/advice

I have had issues downloading iOS 7.1.1 for iPad Airs at one school but successfully downloaded the 7.1.1 update for iPad2s! I took the MacBook running Apple Configurator and the iPad Air home and successfully downloaded the iOS 7.1.1 at home.

 

I do not know what caused the download issue at school as the MacBook is set to use a transparent proxy!

I was having this issue as well. I updated to OS 10.9.3 and it seems to be plugging along now...1 hour to go! :/

There are a few tricks you can use with Configurator to speed this process up. firstly in your browser goto;

 

Download Firmware (IPSW) Files for iOS Devices

 

and then choose the version of iOS7 that you need, be careful to choose the right one for your iPads.

Once downloaded, then fire up Configurator, click the Supervise tab, hold the Alt key down and choose "devices" from the menu at the top, this now lets you choose the custom iOS you previously downloaded and can then apply in Configurator
