Payment systems

I've been asked to research Payment systems for a primary school we support - I know some of our schools use Parent Pay but are there any others I should be looking into?

We're using Parent pay. We won't be for much longer

Haven't decided what yet, but know we won't be renewing...

We use sQuid as mentioned above. In a secondary though not primary but it should still be fine.

Primary here and I can't recommend @Schoolcomms highly enough.

 

Its only anecdotal but I've heard nothing but bad things about Parentpay recently.

@InspireICT are they using SIMS .net? If so, do they have Dinner Money? Also, do you know if it was spurred after a certain company was marketing their new product - perhaps one that starts and ends with A? Edited April 1, 2014 by matt40k

They're not running SIMs and as far as I know it wasn't triggered by any marketing - just a desire for a payment system.

Cheers, just curious really. It's nice to have it confirmed that Schools are thinking how to improve and not because a supplier prompted them.

 

By the way, @Schoolcomms only works with SIMS, so that's out.

Used Tucasi at my old spot, great little system. Sits very nicely on any server, and they do all the server side set up for you and were a massive help to our finance department getting that end set up. Clients updates can be a little hassle but we didnt have any huge issues with the system unlike parent pay.

We use Tucasi integrated with our cashless catering system. All works well. Few little niggles but that can be said of most systems. They're due a huge upgrade soon so we'll see that that brings.

I'd offer a thumbs down. Nothing but trouble with it since we had to reinstall it, now our online system isn't working and their support has been absolutely awful! It's been a MONTH now and they still haven't fixed it. They promise to call back and then don't (this happened THREE times last Friday). It's been horrible.
