There used to be a butt hole road in connisborough

sparkeh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Ah yes the rude road name. Used to live near Bell End which always gave me a chuckle.
GREED Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Bell End. Was that the one with the cheese factory at the top of the road? :D:D:D:D:D:D 2

sparkeh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Bell End. Was that the one with the cheese factory at the top of the road? :D:D:D:D:D:D Gah! I was composing a sensible reply to that until the penny dropped 1
sparkeh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 First one I look at : Lord Herefords Knob, Powys, Wales Just awesome. I don't fancy a trip to Bastardstown in Ireland :S
hardtailstar Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 First one I look at : Lord Herefords Knob, Powys, Wales Thats also a Hill....... I've climbed it......
GREED Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Gah! I was composing a sensible reply to that until the penny dropped I very nearly couldn't write the darn reply I was giggling to myself to much!
Garacesh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Not entirely sure where it is, but I know I've seen 'Nob End' on maps. There's a street near where I used to live called Hornby Street. Kids keep scratching out the B. Does that count? xD
Seb1780 Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Canal Street, at the centre of Manchester's gay community, often had its initials scratched off :-) 1
sparkeh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Well, if we are talking altering names: Shilbottle - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Garacesh Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 I think it was Cockermouth where they had to replace the 'Welcome to Cockermouth' sign with a massive rock instead because they were sick of people stealing it?
Andrew_C Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Of course, you may all know this, but any "Butt" reference it to "Archery Butts" where every able-bodied man had to do his weekly practice. So we could whoop the French.
GREED Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Muffy Gardens.... unsurprisingly the Y and the S always disappeared. This is in Hampshire.
Tesla Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 Canal Street, at the centre of Manchester's gay community, often had its initials scratched off :-) There's an actual Canal Museum near where i live.... you can imagine.
Tesla Posted March 19, 2014 Posted March 19, 2014 My Nan lives over in Ireland, her house's name is "Old Muff Cottage" we have to write that every time we have to send cards etc...postman must have a right chuckle. 1

There's a genuine museum dedicated to sex toys. I don't recall where, but it was mentioned on TV, so a Google search will find it, if you fancy searching that at work So I wouldn't be surprised if your re-named museum does actually exist elsewhere.

synaesthesia Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 We have to make do with Bell End and Titty Ho here, although in my home town I spent years as a kid giggling at Pratt Road.
sparkeh Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Titty Ho Oh how could I forget Titty Ho!? Bought a car from the Titty Ho Motor Company once... One here that makes me giggle is 'Upper Brown Street'... *chuckle* 1
sparkeh Posted March 20, 2014 Posted March 20, 2014 Dear God wat Yeah... https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=leicester+upper+brown+street&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x487761206e330a3d:0xf0d27fd1ead45b40,Upper+Brown+St,+Leicester&gl=uk&ei=kwErU9WLKM7G7AbG64CQCQ&ved=0CCwQ8gEwAA
