Digital Visitor Sign-In - Similar to doctor sign-in

Hi All,

Were looking at a digital sign in purchase. We want to be able to have an iPad/Touch Screen in reception that we can load with dates and times of appointments etc. So when a visitor comes in they tap the screen, choose the details and then it sends an email to the person they are here to see. As we are an all amc school we would prefer it to be able to run on an iPad or some mac compatible software that we can link to a touch screen and install on a mac mini or something along them lines.

Any suggestions out there? Be great if we could get late kids to sign into it as well so we can run a report of children that are late?

Thanks

Thanks for that, looks like they MIGHT have an iPad app, is this linked to any of your MIS systems or anything and does it email that member off staff etc? Will see if we can book a demo!

It can integrate with SIMS and Integris at the moment and I think they are working on Serco.

Yes it can email staff when a visitor signs in. You can schedule meetings with the attendees, for example when Ofsted came they clicked on the button that said 'Ofsted visit' and the inspectors names came up for them to touch, it took a photo and printed a badge and wished them a good visit. We don't use the email facility but at that point it could have fired off an email to let people know the inspectors had turned up.

Hi Sylv3r, could you give me a rough idea of the cost of these systems? I've been in touch with all three of the ones you've looked at and no one will even give me a ballpark figure, they all want to come in and "understand our needs". That's fine, but I don't want to waste hours of time only to find out it's way out of our price bracket. Via PM is fine.

The inventory kit for 1 touch screen, printer, software etc. was around £3,750. I can't remember the others off the top of my head but were cheaper. The SG World solution was around £1,000 cheaper

Thanks very much. I wish companies weren't so secretive about their pricing. I've wasted hours lately in meeting about products I wouldn't have thought about if they'd have told me the price first!
