KoolTech Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Its a Toyota Yaris 2005 model or a granny car as the kids like to say! They never interest me, just gets me from A to B. Haven't heard anything yet, I put it in at half 9 this morning!
nyiss Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 good luck!! My bike is in for MOT on saturday and ever since I booked it the exhaust has been so loud, I can almost see the money ticking off my wages -.-
KoolTech Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 I'm sure you will all be pleased to know IT PASSED!! A new wiper blade and bulb was needed which they changed free of charge. So pleased as I have zero spare money left a month for car repairs.
difinity Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Well done KoolTech , Jap cars, you can't beat their reliability. 2

Trapper Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 After starting to take mine to a certain garage in South Birmingham, they've always passed with flying colours. I know they shouldn't. I'm not sure whether I'm relieved, or very worried!
nyiss Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 My poor bike has been sitting in the garage since Saturday because it failed I found 3 exhaust leaks, a broken horn and no high beams but managed to fix them up just before its MOT, thankfully they didn't come up. I also noticed the thread on the front tyre was a bit low but I didn't think it was that bad, seems it was though as I am currently having to bus it to work and I am looking at being over £100 out of pocket by the time I get it back
hardtailstar Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Mines due at the end of the month... Fingers crossed it passes!
YorkshireTechie Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I use the Council's MOT depot, like a previous poster said they don't do repairs so it makes me feel more confident that i am getting a fair test, they don't even charge the full fee (i think i paid around £45 this year). I hate going to a garage I am not sure of so find the council one a godsend.
