No thanks. will look at another option Samsung then, been running an 830 at home for a couple of years, and got over 150 of the 840 EVOs in here, only had one go silly buggers and it was RMA'd within a few days. Never used the M500 myself but have seen it mentioned a lot when price/performance is key, and the m4 used to be rock solid. 'tis a shame, then, but you won't go wrong with a Samsung. The Pro's are better performing but the 840 EVO is more than good enough, and TLC isn't a concern unless you're running VM/database workloads. 1

However, they won't fit in most cases due to the size. 1000+ watt PSUs seem to be very popular with Litecoin miners at the moment. Some people are even joining multiple PSUs together since it can be a bit cheaper than a single 1500 watt PSU.
3s-gtech Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 A 550W PSU should easily cope with your PC and a 760, or most mid/high end cards (though the GTX 780Ti/Titan/R9 290X or a dual GPU card will probably be too much!)

I've got a GTX260 which is lovely, but i've got a wee bit of cash spare, I've got ssds, decent psu, plenty of ram. Got slightly less than a hundred quid and want something nVidia, what is there that's going to be a fair bit better than my existing card? I was looking for a GTX 570, but I'm open to options.

Every time I upgrade I speed weeks just researching just for all the bits! always try to find something that will last 4 to 5 years Going to be a game PC so it's going to make Xbox one and PS4 look like a classic old school PC..... 1

PCI-E X16 SAS / SATA 6Gbps RAID Card - RAID about 4 or more SATA 6gbps SSD's up, get one PCI-E SSD, SLI A few decent graphics cards together so GTX 780 Ti or GTX Titans together, buy a 60 inch or larger 4K HD Telly as the monitor or maybe a HD Projector and then some controllers and plenty of RAM etc etc Then a QNAP or similar NAS for storage ...
