synaesthesia Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Congratulations guys, as a happy customer we're over the moon to be able to deal with a company such as yourselves staffed by human beings with a cracking sense of humour. This makes dealing with things so much easier. Every quote isn't just a sheet of paper going to an unnamed person at an unnamed school with a price on it. I said to my NM just last week that if Very continue to grow AND remain this personable, they'll be unstoppable. Thumbs up, you deserve the success 3
Bradlys Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Haaaaappy birthday to you, Haaaaappy birthday to you, Haaaaappy birthday to youuuuuuu, Haaaaappy birthday to you 3
featured_spectre Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Awwwwwwh Yis! Congrats guys, making it beyond a year as a company is a great achievement in itself, making it to 10 and being as successful as you are is nothing short of amazing! Well done! 3
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Thank you guys. We're feeling great today and appreciate all the well wishes. Al
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Congrats chaps! Edit: Incorrect apostrophe use rectified... Edited February 17, 2014 by ICTDirect_Dave 3
sonofsanta Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 And I have to say, this is a much more pleasant colour for the forum than last week 3
Little-Miss Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Yay @VeryPC! My Line Manager is eyeing up one of your Thinbooks.... 3
Dos_Box Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Happy birthday. Just wait until they hit their teens everyone! 4
sonofsanta Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Happy birthday. Just wait until they hit their teens everyone! Don't. My daughter turned 13 on Tuesday just gone. Yesterday she was sat quite happily in the front room watching the TV when she suddenly got up, stormed out, slammed the hallway door and marched up the stairs. Not a word said, before or after. I still have no idea what happened. 2
featured_spectre Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Ever watched the harry enfield sketch where Kevin turns into a teenager? Will @VeryPC be like that? Every quote being "SOOOO UNFAIR"? lol 1
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Whilst we are very proud to be 10 years old, it did occur to me that technically we should still be in primary school. Lots of you work in primary schools - what's the level of technical ability with compooters like at this age? Al Edited February 17, 2014 by VeryPC that/this
Little-Miss Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 It ranges from none, to a lad telling me about his Minecraft server. They're better than the staff anyway... 2
witch Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 I think this might be an occasion for me to get my pompoms out: :cheer2: As for the level of tech savvy in primary schools - as Little-Miss says, it varies from zero to the lad telling me all about his new computer that he built himself. 1
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 ^ Okay, there's the range of capability you can expect from 10 year old VeryPC - zero to Minecraft (in 10 seconds?) That pretty much covers all IT yes? Al
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 (edited) Actually, the zero startpoint is a given for any skillset in any big cross-section of any age range, but it's good to see that the new millennium is still producing computer geeks at primary age. Not just our generation then. Al Edited February 17, 2014 by VeryPC
Bianca Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Happy Birthday VeryPC! Here's to the next 10 years! Bianca 2
north-ict Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Happy birthday guys its nice to see a company that engages like you guys do, grow. 2
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Many thanks from all at VeryPC for the nice messages. EduGeekers rule! Al
hawc Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Is @VeryPC going to be staying out late - getting hammered. Then they will revise overnight (with energy drinks that have laxative effects) and then pooing themselves in an exam!
fairm010 Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 Well done @VeryPC! You've done 10 full rotations of a big star! Matt 1
VeryPC Posted February 17, 2014 Posted February 17, 2014 You've done 10 full rotations of a big star! Yup - it really is that arbitrary. Any excuse for a whoop and a holler though eh? Al
