X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (not exactly advent calendar shopping prime-time unfortunately). That would be boxing day.
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 That would be boxing day. Mmm dusty, year old chocs.
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Mmm dusty, year old chocs. Year old? Try 25 days. I don't know where you shop, but you need to look at somewhere better.
VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 I unwrapped my calendar this morning and to my surprise all the doors were open and just being held shut by the cellophane wrapping. All the chocs were still there though...phew! That's kinda weird - The doors looked shut when they left VeryPC, though I confess I did not do a door by door inspection. I wonder what could do that? Either some rough handling in transit bending the calendar so the doors pop open, or tiny little xmas elves moving in to their new travelling cardboard high rise apartment block with all you can eat complimentary chocolate for their miniature magical mouths. Yeah, one of those two. Al
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 my turn to win today Your name is X-13, too? What are the chances?! 1
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Year old? Try 25 days. I don't know where you shop, but you need to look at somewhere better. You jest? I mean when you eat them next December they will be a year old.
featured_spectre Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Mine was in the same condition sparkeh. I think its TNT...they ruin things.
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 You jest? I mean when you eat them next December they will be a year old. Time-machine. Alternatively: eat now, regret later. I think its TNT...they ruin things. You don't expect this? They ARE named after an explosive, after all.

Yeah, one of those two. Al Mmm they looked shut until I unwrapped it. Not complaining, just kinda weird. My first reaction was that some scallywag have pilfered the chocs before wrapping it up. But no, all safely inside. Better than my wife's calendar, all the chocs have fallen to the bottom of the packet. So every morning there is a little logic game to release the treat
sparkeh Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Mine was in the same condition sparkeh. I think its TNT...they ruin things. Ahhh yes of course. It all makes sense now. Alternatively: eat now, regret later. Yeah if you want to anger the Advent Gods then yeah go ahead my friend.
StevieM Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 You jest? I mean when you eat them next December they will be a year old. Interestingly, the 'Best Before' date on my Hello Kitty advent calendar just so happens to be 'End of November 2014'.
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Yeah if you want to anger the Advent Gods then yeah go ahead my friend. I've already got the IT Gods angry with me... what's one more set of annoyed Gods?
VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 ...every morning there is a little logic game to release the treat Daily brain training, with a reward at the end of it. It is possible that some evil genius is doing an experiment on you though... Yeah if you want to anger the Advent Gods then yeah go ahead my friend. Oh my. You do NOT. You NEVER. Never eat an advent sweetie before the day on the door. You don't even fiddle with the door to see what shape is inside. You might as well go dancing in a thunderstorm with a copper umbrella hat on shouting "Come on Thor, take your best shot!" This has been a public safety announcement, don't do the things above. Al
VeryPC Posted December 5, 2013 Author Posted December 5, 2013 Interestingly, the 'Best Before' date on my Hello Kitty advent calendar just so happens to be 'End of November 2014'. Hah! Some cunning work there. "Don't even think about buying this on the cheap and having it next year - it will definitely kill you." Al
hallb15 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 There is no IT god - that's why Windows 8 exists!

This has been a public safety announcement, don't do the things above. Al One of the kids spotted my Hello Kitty calendar and asked me if she could have my choccy for today, as she'd 'accidentally' eaten hers for today on the 29th November. I'd better warn her of the ensuing calamity that is about to befall her.
X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 There is no IT god - that's why Windows 8 exists! No, there IS an IT God. We're being punished with Win8. One of the kids spotted my Hello Kitty calendar and asked me if she could have my choccy for today, as she'd 'accidentally' eaten hers for today on the 29th November. I'd better warn her of the ensuing calamity that is about to befall her. I can imagine the fallout from the parents if you actually do that...

X-13 Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 (edited) How dare he be kind and share with students! He must have ulterior motives ship him to the colonies!!!! I'm talking more about the "you've angered the Advent Gods, you're going to have a bad time". @VeryPC, I forgot to mention this the other day to Tom and Andy... I'm disappointed that you guys support Foxconn. Edited December 5, 2013 by X-13
