As sad as it sounds, I cant seem to function without my phone.

My S3 now randomly freezes on the alarm, texting, play store. I have factory reset, reimaged et al and it keeps doing it. Randomly and most often, frequently.

Anyway, I am in need of a phone tomorrow of equal or better spec than my S3. I would love to get a Nexus 5 but I cant wait 2-3 weeks.

Any recommendations? Or anyone selling anything I can use? (Must be android)

Thanks

Can you not pick up a Nexus 5 from a phone shop?

If you are just popping your sim card into the phone it should just be the handset price. If its more expensive then on play store, haggle them down.

I did that for the Nexus 4.

You looked at the Motorola moto g? Seems like a good budget option.

BTW I take it the phone is no longer under warranty? Get 2 years with samsung usually

Just checked, its less than a year old. Seems longer, Brucey!

Now to reset the flash counter and add the original firmware ;)

My thinking exactly

I may do the same, had nothing but problems since the latest update. Does anyone know who or where I'd have to contact for a replacement??

iPhone.... you know it makes sense! (only cos no one has mentioned it)

I have had several iPhones before my S3, never again, unless they pull a blinder with something new.

I give up, in the process of wiping, un-rooting and restoring the original firmware, something has been fixed!

Now, do I re-flash with a proper rom and hope its fixed or leave it with the dire samsung junk installed?

I just purchased the Moto G, it's an OK phone, if a little boring...
