Mini Mac Server - Can't access Workgroup Manager Local

Recommended Posts

I'm logged on with an Admin Account to our Mini Mac Server trying to add some new Macs to the Workgroup Manager: local but the padlock is locked and when I try to unlock it with any of our Admin account log on's it won't unlock? That's the /LDAPv3/IP ADDRESS one.

Yeah, that doesn't use the admin account, it's the diradmin account (I call it that, it may have another name but that's what most setup guides call it). You should be able to reset it if it's long gone, but it'll have some knock-on effects.

Thanks for your prompt answer @3s-gtech What sort of issues could advise by doing a password reset please?

IIRC if you have done an authenticated bind with any other Mac clients the auth will break. It's not a major one, and if you don't have any bound in this way it should be fine.
