ICT Support Technician

Required from January 2014

We are looking to appoint a hard-working and reliable ICT Technician to assist with maintaining the school's computer equipment and network.

The post holder will be part of a small team responsible for dealing with faults, upgrades and routine maintenance. The job also involves moving and setting up heavy equipment, installing equipment and associated cabling and commissioning new equipment. No job is too small or too large!

It is important that the candidate has an open mind and the ability to understand and implement new technologies. Ideally the applicant should be able to demonstrate competency in a wide range of skills such as computing, wiring, DIY and Audio/Visual. The ability to manage your own workload whilst being able to respond to emergencies is essential. The job involves using computers on a daily basis so a familiarity with Microsoft software is an absolute must.

This is a permanent variable hours contract with a minimum of 15 hours a week. To begin with the post-holder will work 30 hours a week during term time only. The salary stated will be reduced to reflect the part-time, part-year nature of the role.

The school is committed to the safeguarding and well-being of all young people and expects all employees to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to Enhanced DBS clearance.

For further details or to apply, please contact Miss P Rice (Head Teacher’s PA) on 01772 613112 or e-mail [email protected]

The closing date for applications is Monday 25th November at 12:00noon. Interviews will be held on Friday 29th November.
