We currently use mainly Brother HL-4040 printers, as they are reasonably cheap to run and ahve proved reliable. They are, however starting to fail with age and overuse. Can you recommend an appropriate replacement for these beased on these specs:- * reasonable initial purchase cost * High capacity cartridges * reasonably cheap to run / replace cartrisges on. Our other option is to go for a leased cost per copy printer solution - would this be a better option?
tmcd35 Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 I've just gone through the same process. The cost per copy lease offered by Konica Minolta worked out cheaper than buying laser printers and toner from our regular suppliers, so we're just signing off the paper work with them now.

If you go this rout, get multiple quotes, check all the terms and conditions, check everything inside, outside underneth the carpet and mak 100% sure your happy tith the contract and it's SLA's. Find out how many engineers are in the area to service the devices. Rob
newpersn Posted October 17, 2013 Posted October 17, 2013 We still got the HL-4040 In some places, Heavy areas got Konica Minolta C280s. All 3 of out IT rooms and DT Graphics got KM C35's or a C280.Little offices and departments offices got HL-4140/HL4040 or a little Brother Laser. Konica Minoltas are leased. We still got a few old HPs still going strong. 2025, 3505 and CP2505

Do you just want a standard colour printer - or would you like a multi-function machine? Disease Posted October 21, 2013 Posted October 21, 2013 We went through the same discussion a while back,, we decided to stay non managed and plumbed for the new HP Officejet Pro Series X451DW which I have to say after intially having reservations about going to inkjet are in the words of Gary Barlow Abs-olut-ely fan-tas-tic.
