eBay - Still good for a bargain

Got one of these: Samsung S27B370HS 27 inch Widescreen LED Monitor - Gloss Black (1920 x 1080 Full HD, 2ms, HDMI/VGA): Amazon.co.uk: Computers & Accessories as a factory refurb for £129 this week. It arrived yesterday and is in pristine condition and works perfectly. Very impressed.

It's almost as good as the £20 Wii I bagged for the kids last year

Anyone else managed to grab something good off eBay recently?

Just brought kids 9" dual screen DVD players for the car trip to south of France on Monday, listed for £179 on various sites.

 

Brought grade a stock off ebay for £98 inc nwd delivery, it's like brand new.

Nexus 7 from Tesco Outlet eBay store for £109 - 12 month warranty and unmarked when it arrived in its full retail packaging.

£15 for a faulty external 1tb WD harddrive that didnt power up.

Took hdd out of caddie and bunged in my pc works fine.

I don't buy electronics off EBay although I do buy dressmaking and craft supplies and have never had an issue - my most recent favourite purchase was 10m of Olive Green Taffeta for a gown I'm making for £28!!! This is £2.80 a metre - I couldn't get it that cheap elsewhere and whilst it is Polyester, it is still good fabric and excellent to work with. I always buy my large fabric quantities on EBay. I did also buy a REALLY cheap ballgown from China and when it arrived I was really impressed by the quality - I expected to have to finish it properly but for £33 I couldn't buy the fabric for that but actually, apart from a bit of hem facing and a decent press it is perfect. Well worth the money.

Always on ebay, have had all manner of things on there! even servers - one of which is sitting behind me. A Dell 2950 - cost me £15 and courier was £25. Arrived it works perfect!!

 

Has been singing a lovely tune, running VM's on oVirt for the past 6 months now without hiccup.

I love ebay! Last month, bought a Nintendo 64 in mint condition, original boxing and all the cables - £5.

 

Sold as spares or repair as it "didn't show any picture" - bought an Expansion Pak module for £15 (N64s needed a module that went underneath the lid at the front to 'complete' the circuit, else nothing would happen after powering up.) and it now works like a dream. Considering a typical mint condition N64 with the same description goes for around £200 starting, I'd say a saving of £180 isn't too shabby!

 

Always look at the spares/repair section if you're looking to buy TVs/PCs/Laptops/Consoles etc, 9/10 they'll be going for an absolute bargain for such an easy fix! The same applies to joblots, it's more than likely that only one of the batch has been tested and they've just assumed the rest are faulty. As always though with anything like this it's down to chance/luck
