Hi

I have been battling to set up IE 10 correctly on our Server 2008 R2 SP1 box. I've got down to Group Policy Preferences -> Internet Settings -> but Internet Explorer 10 is not an option.

It only goes up to IE8

I've installed inetres for IE10 on the GPO templates.

Any ideas on how to get the option for IE10 in Group Policy Preferences.

Thanks

Ive read and seen screenshots of IE10 appearing in the Group Policy Preferences -> Internet settings section

Been told to update the Central GPO Store, done and still hasn't worked.

These setttings can be controlled by either a 2012 or W8 machine with RSAT installed.

Luckily we've got EES / SA which makes this easy. Without it you would have to download an eval version of 2012 install to a VM and use that.

Exactly this - installing RSAT on Win8 can be a bit of a challenge unless you've got one of the language packs it 'likes' installed. Took me an hour to figure that out.

Also - beware trying to use GPP if you've still got a GPO with IE Maintenance settings - the lovely .ins file that IEM creates seems to take precedence. I'm going to be spending most of tomorrow unpicking this...
