Looking for some advice please people.

At what date do you off-roll your year 11 leavers, who you know are not returning for year 12? I am getting different dates from different departments within my LEA, and wanted to see what the general concensus was before I procceeded!

Do I use the date of the last exam? Or the last day of the academic year?

Any advice would be helpful!

Regards,

LGFL are recommending 31st August, and also that ex yr12 should have accounts left live until 31st October, to facilitate their transition to Higher Ed.

No idea what capita say.

[h=2]Attendance Codes for Year 11 Students (Added 22/07 18:55)[/h]Please note that our understanding of the DfE rules regarding attendance for Year 11 students for the second half of the Summer Term is as follows.

  1. The official school leaving date is the last Friday in June in the school year in which a student reaches age 16.
  2. Where a Year 11 student has applied and been accepted into the school 6th form, they must remain on roll until the end of term. Code X can be used for the period after the last Friday in June to the end of term.
  3. Where a Year 11 student has not applied or has not been accepted into the school 6th form, they must remain on roll until the last Friday in June. If the school decides to give leave of absence after the students complete their examinations, Code C can be used to record the authorised absence.
