Err, hi all. I always hate asking these kind of things on the basis I might sound like a moron.

We're looking to fit a non widescreen Smartboard with multitouch which seems to bring me down to the 880 if I'm right? Anyway just asking around for suggestions for a short throw projector to go with it?

We've used NEC - U250x before for ultra short throw 4:3. That model has been superseded though. When we needed support, NEC were excellent.

Hi RickJames

We install Hiatchi CP-A222 Most of the time as they also come with a 5 year warranty and many other features. And im sure they are less than the Epson range. we work close with both manufactures so if you require any information or pricing we can help.

Hi @rickjames,

We'd suggest the NEC UM280x. This comes with 5 year warranty and the Display Note preenter license, which is ideal if you're looking to implement tablets in the future.

Let me know if you need any further help or a quote. :)

Will be trying out this model as it's very cost effective and has a good warrenty.

How is the image? The old theory is that DLP has bad contrast and dark colours badly displayed.

And how does the Display note software work then?

Hi,

It's an LCD so the colours are really bright and clear, better colour reproduction so you don't have to worry about that.

DisplayNote is great for class collaboration. It sits on a host laptop/PC and other users can 'join' the lesson using tablets for example. They will see whatever is on the large screen on their tablet and be able to annotate on these to make notes and share with multiple users. Great for presenting, sharing and collaboration.

Take a look at DisplayNote - NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH - Portal Site NEC Display Solutions Europe GmbH for more information on DisplayNote and how you can use it in class.

Hope this helps. :) Let me know if you need anything else.

Hi Exim.

We shall try and get a demo of display note if you like -we have found display note to be very popular within education collaboration needs.

We can also save you money on the NEC UM280x and installation if needed (saving budget is always good)

please contact me for further information or pricing
