enjay Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 The age-old question of room/resource booking has reared its head at my new school. Any advice on good/bad products? Money is available if needed, simplicity of use is the key factor.
tmcd35 Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 We've been using "Classroom Booking System (CRBS)" which is developed by a forum member here, totally free, for the past couple of years. Just about to move to "CSE" which intgrates helpdesk, asset manager, and room bookings into one complete system.

laserblazer Posted July 9, 2013 Posted July 9, 2013 Seems I'm in a minority of one here but we use FREE 3 month trial - Online Room booking, equipment booking, online marking, exam information, parent evening bookings & student lists and find it does everything we want, is dead eay to use and manage and is cheap.

Only 10 resources in that, which isn't enough for us.

enjay Posted July 10, 2013 Author Posted July 10, 2013 I do like the look of the live feed from SIMS which Room Booking System has, as it even picks up cover lessons, etc. It is a lot of money though!

I've looked at MRBS, CRBS, and still have nto got a solution that reads sims timetables, and integrates to active directory, but runs on my own web servers (no external ip). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. DC

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. DC Mrbs will do this kind of. LDAP no probs As for sims integration we use a php script picked up from here that will read a CSV exported from sims. Any small changes are then done manually. Works a treat

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. DC We've just released a single sign-on feature for the Room Booking System which doesn't require any ports to be opened at your end. Likewise our SIMS integration doesn't require ports to be opened as the requests originate from your server. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
