Mcshammer_dj Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 I think we should all get behind the great BRITISH hope in Murray. Until the great Scottish git fails.

laserblazer Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 That said - has anyone seen him smile? Yes, when he hit Lendl during the charity doubles at Queens. Apparently, they had a side bet on who would get hit first. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G4H8r3cPuhE 1
witch Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 @witch Wow! I get stick when you dont agree with what I say.... but for everyone else its nasty so and so's. Unfair!!!! Not when there is more than one of them - but I will gladly include you if you would like me to
Sunnyknight Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 So other than being a total twat, he hasn't smiled. Lord have mercy on his Mrs. Edit: @witch no no no, that's okay lol
L3OUGH Posted June 27, 2013 Posted June 27, 2013 @witch Wow! I get stick when you dont agree with what I say.... but for everyone else its nasty so and so's. Unfair!!!! OT ill support him to lose... thats no issue lol @L3OUGH you make me laugh! Well, what can I say? ;P But anyway I hope he wins ONLY for the sake of British Tennis! Not because I want him to win, because I don't.
6Foot2 Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 The surprises keep on coming! Serena Williams [World number 1 and Wimbledon favourite] has been eliminated by Sabine Lisicki [Ranked: 23]
6Foot2 Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 (edited) Murray's going through a dodgy patch! At home now and watching the Murray match. First set to Murray. Second set currently 5 games all. Edit: Is Murray carrying an injury now after slipping? He has winced and held his side when making shots. Edited July 1, 2013 by 6Foot2 Add detail to the post.
aerospacemango Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Jeez... thought I'd read the thread to get a feel and wish I hadn't! I disliked Murray intensely for that comment during the world cup about supporting anyone but England, but then I read it in the context of what he said and had a good old belly laugh at his sense of humour. Those of you slagging him off for his "anti - English" stance would do well to do some research into it. Come on Andy... Beat Djok!
6Foot2 Posted July 7, 2013 Author Posted July 7, 2013 Congratulations to Andy Murray. Link: BBC Sport - Andy Murray v Novak Djokovic: Wimbledon men's final
rich_tech Posted July 7, 2013 Posted July 7, 2013 All around brilliant weekend for uk sport I thought, considering the lions won in awesome style yesterday morning too.
DrCheese Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Alex Salmond trying to put a Scottish flag around the back of Cameron was just stupid.
laserblazer Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 AND he said it was a british win... It would have been a Scottish loss. Well done Andy and well done Scotland 1
6Foot2 Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 The papers are having a field day, then. Some front pages: http://i.snag.gy/39Y1o.jpg
DrCheese Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 It would have been a Scottish loss. Well done Andy and well done Scotland no.. the only people that say this.. are the ones that say this!
Alkaline Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 I did not think he would do it, Nerves seem to have got the better of him in the past when he got close, but was very surprised when he won.
Gatt Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Well done Andy Murray! Great day for Britain and British Sport! He did fantastic against Djokovic, who was, unusually off his game in a big way - almost 40 unforced errors if I recall and getting a bit wound up when he ran out of challenges in the 2nd set..
6Foot2 Posted July 8, 2013 Author Posted July 8, 2013 ...almost 40 unforced errors if I recall.. Almost spot on with the unforced errors stats: http://i.snag.gy/7qq7z.jpg Link: 2013 Wimbledon Championships Website - Official Site by IBM
rickjames Posted July 8, 2013 Posted July 8, 2013 Some front pages: http://i.snag.gy/39Y1o.jpg And to think that, you know, there's far worse and more serious things happening in the world right now than a man hitting a ball around for fun.
