Shaun and I talked about our 8th birthday a few weeks back and as the conf and ISTE planning got in the way we clear forgot. Cheers @vikpaw it would have been really bad to have this shoot past this without a mention. *Here is a bit of EduGeek trivia for you. The reason I used the pseudonym Dos_Box on here is that when I created the site I needed a test account. My original account (now gone) was just my name (or a variant thereof - I can't recall) and dos_box was the test account I used to ensure PM, permissions etc. worked correctly. And when people started to join of their own accord - almost the very next day after it went live IIRC) I just happened to be logged on as dos_box and replied under that account. I then thought it would be too confusing for the new members to switch identities and stuck with it. As for being around for another 8 years. I see no reason why not

Your user 159, there is not an easy way to see your account id number, links for sending a person a pm show it but I will add a profile field in the usercp I think.

Keep getting the dates all wrong.... 398, the easiest way I use is to click the persons username in a thread then moveover "private message", the url shows the id of the user as the u variable. 2
