hehe sorry, just thought it was really dire.

There was a couple of funny true moments in it, but in general? I'll pass ta.

I mean don't get me wrong, if it was a choice between watching an entire series of it or having my testicle squashed in a vice, I'd gladly choose the vice ;)

Oh well, fair enough. I guess you're the sort of person who loves things like Car Booty, Antiques Roadshow and Songs of Praise then? 8)

It was sketchy in places but it just added to the funnyness of the whole thing :D

I've only caught one episode (i know, i miss lots of tv).

But it might have been the first one? where the woman joined them as the manager.

The most memorable bit for me was the joke about the plan they come up with "I feel the plan has excited me so much, it requires my larger glasses" or something like that.

But I think I would like it lots considering it's the guy who played dean learner in garth margenghi's darkplace (now that was hilarious).

I can't get enough of property programs, it's quite disturbing.

Other than that don't watch much TV, though my Sopranos DVDs are been conumed rapidly.

Although it was a good series there were bits that seemed a bit out of place and hardly funny at all, the episode about stress for example with all the jokes about everything made in Britain been absolutely sh*te was kinda annoying and not very funny at all. Can't fault Chris Morris for his performance in the series though, what a guy.

Could be interesting to see how this new series plays out.

Yeah, he also did Man to Man with Dean Learner which was also quite good, but not as good as The IT Crowd :)

This is the clip you mean Chris :)

Man to Man with Dean Learner is the funniest thing I've seen on TV this year!

We've managed to acquire the first series on DVD so we've been revisiting it at lunchtimes over this hols. The series rings about 90% true to my experiences in the electronics industry and in schools. The office looks in about the same condition as ours, there are loads of traits similar in ourselves and all the oddbods I've ever met in IT support and the companies attitude towards the IT people is about spot on.

Can't wait for the new series - even my other half (who is a teacher!) can't wait as she too recognises the traits too. Frightening really.

I've just finished the first season again and ready and eager for Friday ...

I still get scared about how close the characters are ... not to me but to others I know ... erm ... honest ...

I didn't want to name any names, John ... ;-)

And I would definitely now mention that Richard is are resident Goth.

And as for MauRICe ... I am not sure who that might be ...

I'll get my coat ... it's the one with the 'How to deal with Aunt Irma in techies' pamphlet in the pocket.

Anyone seen Nick Burns the Computer Guy...?

They are quite funny and I was at a Exchange Traing Course when the Tutor put tjem. and all us nerds were sniggering... well laughing and the in-house jokes

Never got into this series. All the jokes are so cliche and old that I just did not find them funny. And the characters were more annoying than anything else.

But thats just my opinion.

Sorry but it was cack. I watched the first 2 episodes, in the first one a couple things made me laugh, but the second one I ended up switching off as it was too painfull to watch. I agree with the previous post, old jokes and bad characters. Unless of course it vastly improved after the second episode?
