Are you expecting further sunshine @Dos_Box? Even the sun has run away from London :( My south facing balcony is a bleak and cold place now the sun has vanished :(

I might try one... though last time I tried a solar charging device (the Solio, about 5 years ago), it failed miserably. I took it with me to a music festival in Benicassim, southern Spain at the height of summer, clear blue skies and beating sunshine every day. Left it out on the beach all day, managed about a 10 minute charge of my mobile, which eventually wasn't enough to keep the thing going. It went in the bin!

I'm hoping the technology has come a long way since then...

What isn't explicit is whether you can charge the battery from USB/power adapter as an alternative to solar - most of these units do provide that -which would make it a much more useful standby power supply.

I have a cheap - actually more expensive than that (nz pricing) - Chinese one that works once then refuses to even solar charge till you plug it in and charge it from the power point, kind of defeats the point. It drains while not charging a phone too. Don't get your hopes too high.

So..... you bought something that does exactly the opposite? lol
