That's a tough one! So many great games.

Older ones? Super Maze Wars. Nettrek. Wolfenstein 3D. Command & Conquer. Lemmings.

Newer ones? Anno 2070. Minecraft. C&C Generals.

If I had to pick a single game? Carmageddon.

I bet people wished i typed 'game*s*' :D

My god, i forgot about the ff series! I also forgot about, DONKEY KONG!

Starwing still takes it for me though. That 3D shape, game, thingy was awesome. It's when my love for aircraft began. Many a time i had tears over that game, trying to beat one certain boss. Pain in the backside!

Wolfenstein-3D

One of the finest games that there ever was!

C&C Generals.

C&C Generals... ahh so so many LAN parties spent playing this. I have it on my Mac if anyone fancies a net game sometime?

ST: Armada and it's mods.

The ST Armada 2: Babylon 5 mod was incredible! So much fun!

There so many games to choose from.

Final Fantasy vii is quite probably my all time favourite. The story was just incredible.

But there's also the entire Total War series (and the mods)

Starwars Empire At war (and the mods)

Sid Mier's Colonization and later Alpha Centauri (one of the fines games ever made)

Nexus: The Jupiter Incident - a vastly underrated tactical game.

Ambrosia Softworks' Escape Velocity: Nova

Lemmings, Paradroid, Elite, Chase HQ my list of C64 games could go on forever.

any other suggestions?

Yup, Counterstrike (the original Half-Life mod version, NOT Source ).

Although, looking back I don't know if 'favourite' is the best way to describe it. Considering it took vast chunks of my life with it for a few years... Evenings, weekends, my hearing in one ear from 8 hours straight sessions in vinyl covered earphones (causing a bad infection) and possibly even partially to blame for my marriage breaking up! Then I got clanned and it got worse lol!!!!!1

I still play this. Superb game, especially as you can mod it so easily.

Also, I have to throw another of their games in here - Harry the Handsome Executive. I bought a G3 Mac just to play this game. :D

If you get a chance, its amazing. You're an office worker in a swivel chair and you have to traverse an office building and save the day by throwing cans of fizzy drink at people, and firing staplers etc... Whilst avoiding floppy disks, post carts and cleaning robots.

Ultima Online, original version before they made it care bear friendly with Fellucia and Trammel.

You can still play it in that form on some of the free shards. :)

CivNet. It's Civ 1 for Windows and had me addicted from since I was a kid. Shame I can't run it anymore, took a long time to get to grips with mind you! Most stuff I learned by accident.

In fact, the very first thing I looked up on the Internet was CivNet units. :p
