Which AV do you all use?

I know this comes up every month or so, but we are considering moving away from our existing AV and using MS Endpoint Protection now that we have implemented SCCM.

 

How many of you are using it please and is there any reason against?

 

Can anyone point me to a case study of Schools using MS EP?

We're just in the process of moving to MS Endpoint Protection now. We had AVG for the past 2 years which cost us something like £12-1500 per year. The cost of the EES subscription which includes AV isn't too far off that for us so we practically get AV for free. Also, I had heard good reports on MS Security Essentials (home version of EPP) and it's false positive rate compared to others, especially the direness that is Symantec or McAfee.

 

It's also, by far the easiest client role out of any AV I've used so far (Syamantec Endpoint, Kaspersky, AVG). Although that said the server was a *#$%! to set up!

In the process of switching to use Endpoint as part of EES too. Better value than LA provided AV solution which has changed from Symantec to McAfee & Kaspersky over the last 10 years.... easy to deploy via SCCM.... setting up SCCM is a different matter!

We use Symantec Endpoint Security. Seems to work great and provides great exchange filtering too. Rolling out upgrades is like a dream. Used to have ESET NOD32 was glad to move away from that.

WE currently use NOD by ESET, but I am moving to Endpoint in the summer when we upgrade to Win 7.

We are also considering moving to MS Endpoint, as we also have an EES subscription. The reports I have read are favourable with the exception of catching malware, although hopefully the product may have improved in that regard by now. We are going to test drive it from this summer.

+1 for MS SCEP! We used to run Sophos across our school and three primaries until the rollout of SCCM 2012.

 

SCEP found 100s of threats in the first week that Sophos never alerted us to, which is very worrying

At work we run ESET nod...and a custom squid/dansguardian box

We recently moved 15 schools from Sophos to AVG Pro Bus 2013. AVG's support have been fantastic and we got a cracking seat price. We really wanted to move to SCCM, alas it required more time/ input than we had to offer due to time constraints, largely due to the amount of sites we cover. Edited March 22, 2013 by Mr_Jiminy

Voted other because we are at this very moment in time using Sophos, but when we migrate over to Windows 7, we are also moving to SCEP...

We use Symantec Endpoint Protection, it's been great over the past 3 years compared the Kasperski and Sophos we used before - these needing a lot of manual file exclusions for databases etc and Sophos being a great virus spotter but useless at doing anything with them.
