Morning All

I've been asked by our property manager to look into possible CCTV solutions for the school.

Long story short, we've had a few issues with minibuses getting broken into, equipment used for taking various social substances being around site of a morning, etc, so we're looking to cover key areas with CCTV.

So I just thought I'd see what people recommend. IP Cameras in the various locations feeding back to a central server or something else?

Thanks

We've got a mix of Sony and Axis cameras here (tending towards the Sony ones these days as they seem to have a better image quality).

Milestone Xprotect express for the recoarding server, something we custom built with a 2U case from Xcase and a AMD mobo/CPU. Origionaly we went for 2TB HDDs but after consideration we changed our length of recoarding down to 30 days so most of that is unused now and I kind of wish I went for smaller higher speed 10k hard drives.

We have Axis cameras and and Axis server here.

My impression is that it works -> quality is OK -> expensive (you need licences for each camera).

We had another part of the build being covered with external CCTV (the traditional non IP route) worked out a lot cheaper and better quality picture.
