fs171 Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I have been a technician for about 3 1/2 years, mainly focusing on the hardware side of things. However I decided that I needed to make a start at learning some new skills, I therefor set about updating a website for a band that I am part of. It is by no means groundbreaking but for the first time of using HTML and CSS I don't think it is too bad. If you have any comments on how to improve please let me know, they are much appreciated.
rich_tech Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Only thing I think I would not do on that website, is have contact details on the home page, because bots can potentially have a field day with that information and get you spammed, I would hide them away well on the contact us page rather than have them featured like that, other than that the website is very impressive I think
ICTDirect_Dave Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 Run it through the validator at W3. The W3C Markup Validation Service They're the people who keep the standards. I remember having allsorts of grief trying to use only Strict xHTML while I was at uni.
SamanthaJane Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I think it looks good and really appropriate for the type of band it is. Well done!
fs171 Posted February 22, 2013 Author Posted February 22, 2013 Thanks for all the comments, I will run it through the validator when I have some time. I'm also doing an online degree so I'm running very time poor at the moment. Thanks again.
