Whilst Six-Axis I think should be licenced for all consoles as its a cracking piece of kit, the move should be dropped, and a sensor bar developed. That way they can have things like the kinect on the PS4.

All DS4 controllers act like the move, they have a big light bar on the front of each controller. The new PS4 camera picks up DS4 controllers as well as the move orbs.

The light changes colour depending on the number connected to the system. It can also react to ingame features: low health = red etc.

Everyone I've ever met who has owned PSEye/Move/Wii/Kinnect has used is barely a dozen times and then collects dust.

Brought it, played it, gathered dust, traded it in.

It's worth noting that the PS4 camera is probably a little more powerful than Kinect 1. It has 2 cameras that can sense objects in a 3D space. Doesn't need either the controller lightbar or Move controllers to work. It's just a question of whether developers can be bothered to create Kinect style software for it.

EDIT: One of the reasons I finally choose PS4 over XB1 was the camera - I can (and have) choose not to buy it :)

Am I reading that right, on an SSD it takes 23 seconds to load up AC4? My xbox can do it quicker from the disk...

When you say 'reading' you mean look at the pictures, post something about an xbox and not bother to read the actual supporting article?

Its timed from loading the core game AND loading a save game.

Again...I read the article...and again my xbox can do it faster from disk. I can load the game and a near end game save, in less time.

*edit*

I will say that the performance increase using the SSD is noticeable, and it can only be a good thing.

Not at all..I've actually said that playstation have some good/great features...In regards to the hard drive speed, I also made a note that my xbox can load it quicker than it can on an SSD. Either the OS is boggy, or it is sluggish

*edit*

It is clear you are being annoying for the sake of being annoying, so I will step out of the thread

Yeeessss, So you keep saying in the playstation thread, the xbox has good/great features. Got it.

Boggy or sluggish OS, got it, two totally different technical meanings. Gotta be the reason, nothing else makes them different. Awesome enlightened opinion for this thread, thanks.

But, but, my PC can load it faster so your PC must be boggy or sluggish!!

PS4 is the first consumer device to support DTS HD Master Audio 7.1 decoder

Blu-ray players and A/V receivers were among the first consumer devices to support DTS-HD MA. Perhaps DTS meant to say first console to support DTS-HD MA, because their statement doesn't make any sense otherwise?

Final revision before EU launch? Or do I wait to download 1.52 next week?

It's just some bug fixes and a tweak to display updates are separately from game downloads. I think they'll get the EU release out the way before making any improvements so I image it'll be the last one before EU release, but you never know. Gonna wait till Tuesday/Wednesday.

AC4 1.03 patch increased it from 900p to 1080p yesterday.

Yeah, I'm waiting till Wednesday night or Thursday to download whatever the lastest firmware is then. Hopefully my SSHD would have arrived by then as well.

There's no specific youtube app at the moment but bookmark youtube.com/tv and you'll get the same as the PS3 youtube app.

iplayer, bbcsport apps available for the UK. Netflix is only in the US at the moment, wont be long.

PS4 web browser is surprisingly faster than the competition, didn't expect this:

AnandTech | The Xbox One - Mini Review & Comparison to Xbox 360/PS4

Streaming your games via Twitch also supported.

App, browser and streaming aren't behind PSN+ paywall.

For those curious about Blu-ray playback quality blu-ray.com has done a review: Blu-ray on PlayStation 4: An Introduction.

Frankly, using the PS4 as a Blu-ray playback device has proven to be an exercise in frustration given three system freezes and the audio glitch necessitating another round of disc sampling to ensure it was an isolated incident. Fortunately none of the other discs seemed prone, and the freezes also seemed random. The PlayStation 4 is certainly a worthwhile investment for the avid gamer, but for those either hoping for improved and expanded Blu-ray playback capabilities, it's currently not worth the upgrade. In fact, it's smart to stay rather far away for the time being. Considering the price, expanded features, greater stability, and comparable, if not equal, playback quality, the PlayStation 3 remains the superior gaming/Blu-ray playback hybrid machine.

PlayStation 4 launch entertainment apps revealed – PlayStation.Blog.Europe

As previously mentioned, youtube.com/tv works in the browser.

A further 20+ apps released between now and Spring 2014.
