starting to fall out with this game now.

1) is there really no way to turn off notifications unless you are running jelly bean?!

2) haven't been able to connect for ages now. Anyone else getting this?

Connection can be oddly ropey at the best of times. EA servers innit - EA are the scum of scum (they're nearly as bad as Apple as far as being a company is concerned) yet they spend minimal to make maximum and don't care of the outcome.

Well... My springfield decided to restart its self after getting to level 13 and built the library.

This is EA after all. It gets REALLY slow on an iPad3 when you start to get a lot going on!

 

I do wonder why you can't send the kids to go drink at Flanagans (another thing that annoys me, it gets in the way of actually progressing the game). "They're kids!" isn't acceptable because Ned Flanders and Apu seem happy to go get ratted.

I'm just building the comic book store. Its not a fast paced game, but its a bit of fun to fiddle around with.

I am building the nucular plant...and I be level 13...I used the brown to grind out...I have 40 of those bad boys...my cash is close to 300k.

Currently building the Android's Dungeon. O'Flanagans has been packed with all the visits and my river has turned green (apt since it runs under the nuclear plant!)

 

I do like how you don't have to buy premium currency though. The humour in the game even makes fun of it...

Yeah, the green river is St Patricks Day related. As I found out after spending half an hour googling "how the hell do I get someone to clean the river!"

I thought that was me being paranoid after having loads of friends on an iPad version, but obviously not.

 

Just built Android's Dungeon now, set everyone on their jobs for the day.

Just building the coffee shop now. Managing the people is getting to be a longer and longer task now!

How do you get neighbours?

 

the iOS version has Origin built in.

 

Downloaded it onto my phone last night and see it doesn't on Droid.

i seem to get buildings about a level after they are avaliable atm

You generally follow a quest line to unlock new buildings in the menu's build order.

Problem is, the quests seem to happen whenever the game decides it wants them to happen. There's no way of initiating them (in so far as I can tell anyway) so you end up missing certain things... so far, I have missed:

 

- The Library (lvl 12)

- Andorid's Dungeon (lvl 13)

- Orange House (lvl 13)

- The Church (lvl 14)

- The Coffee Shop (lvl 14)

 

Am I doing something wrong? Seems like a hell of a lot of quests to have not started... you do just wait until someone says something, right?

If you get stuck, time it so everyone finishes at the same time and have everyone free and leave it for ~5mins. Sometimes it's just slow though.

Got a couple of games going on my iPad, one of them is amusing me because it keeps throwing me missions out of order. I've just been ordered to reach level 10 and build Willie's Shack. I don't even have the school yet!
