Visitor Reception Software

I was wondering if anyone could recommend any visitor reception software. We are looking to do something shortly and it MUST linkin with Sims. Below i have made a wish list but i know i wont get a one size fits all solution so any suggestions would be greatly received.

I don't know what your developing skills are like, but I'd write a simple web app for this and then get an iPad in kiosk mode to display it. Easy.

 

I'd be surprised if something already existed with all those requirements personally.

We used Raptor in the past, and now use Hallpass, but it only checks criminal history / sex offender, manages login / logout of campus and prints badges.

 

I'm also in the USA so these systems may only be connected to USA databases.

We've used inVentry since it was quite a new product and it's pretty good... Don't think it does the H&S info - I've requested this a few times for contractors on site etc.

I was involved in testing one of these at a school a couple of years ago - it failed when the site manager asked what to do when there is a fire alarm.

 

It turned out that there was no way of knowing which visitors were still around unless the wifi and the server were still working - with a real fire this couldn't be guaranteed

They do an App now that constantly synchronises with the inventry system via the internet, so all you'd need is any phone with 3G/4G or an iPad with 3G/4G.

Yep, we have it on our phones. Had a fire drill last week and it worked really well

Given the vague description on the website, I'd say so, but I imagine you'd need to contact them for the APK

I think it's different per school, probably based on the number of staff (that's just a guess)

It depends which modules you want too, e.g. inVentry Anywhere / Student Reg etc. So it's not as simple as just putting a price list up...
