After a brilliant idea by @DJ-1701 and @DavePa in the 'Who Remembers These?' thread here is a place we can pay homage to computer brands (ok, not just computers but IT in general I think) which have ceased to be.

Logos should be attached where possible.

I'll start us off with....Apricot

We got given a laptop few months ago was made by a brand called 'Tiny' which was ironic because it weighed more than a house and was bigger than one as well! On research turns our old british brand.

Tandon actually had a couple of guys going by the names of 'Tan' and 'Don' at several computer shows I went to in the 80's. Awful computers!

I still have my Pansophic mug from my days as an PL/1 programmer.

 

Pansophic was a code generator that was supposed to make coding quicker.

 

The problem was that the code it generated was dreadfully inefficient - and it mattered a lot in those days - and no programmer worth their salt ever coded from scratch anyway. We reused chunks of code we'd already written and refined as you do still.

Evesham briefly had an 0800 dialup ISP in the early 2000s (one of the first unmetered internet connections available in the UK!). I was a network engineer for them (the ISP, not Evesham).

They made a $4 billion loss back in the 1990s and had to undergo a radical rethink. We had IBM contractors on site when it happened; it wasn't pretty

My dad bought an EMachine laptop about 5 years ago, has been surprisingly rock solid! Barely had any issues (one weird grpahics issue but an update to flash and the driver sorted that)
