[closed] bug/error: Double posting?

I've noticed lately a few people (myself included) are having their messages double posted, with both posts happening in the same post seperated by this:

Seems to have started around the time the mobile apps went live (though it hasn't happened to me in the mobile app itself)

I was about to make a post on this too. I get the same issue in some threads, but I also get e-mails about evey single update too. The latest example:

Not too sure if its me, But everytime im posting im getting an error saying i need to wait 30 seconds before i repost..

When i went to edit my last post it wouldn't save unless i clicked edit post on the edit post page already... :S

 

ie i had to click

It does save I think but it doesnt seem to submit correctly, I have disabled quick edit and a few other things for now until I can recreate the issue.

Not sure if this is related, but quite often when I post a reply it shows up twice (like a double post), if I refresh the page then it goes away.

Occasionally I see other user's replies as double posts which disappear if I refresh the page.

Sometimes when I post and reload the post still appears in the Quick Reply box, even when I click Post Quick Reply. Reload again and my post appears. Latest version of Opera on 8.1

This problem may be occurring again since I changed options to fix attachment issues.

Working on it although I have never had the issue so far.

Happening for me on FF28 (i.e. up to date) using the quick reply box more or less everywhere. EDIT: though not here, of course. Happened for this post, though, and another this morning that I can't remember. Edited March 21, 2014 by sonofsanta
